A Walking Forest

On Tuesday November 11th, 2014 was a special day for Malaa Secondary School in Tawa, Mbooni West Constituency, Makueni County when Green Africa Foundation turned the entire school into a "walking Forest." Our Chair, Dr. Isaac Kalua, led the Green Team in attending the event which was graced by the Makueni County Senator, Hon. Mutula Kilonzo Jr. The Occasion was organized by Mr. Benson Kimithi of USAID, who is also the founder of BMK Foundation.
Green Africa Foundation in partnership with Cooper K Brands Ltd, donated a total of 5,000 tree seedlings which were all planted in the school compound and in the neighboring homesteads. The school's principal, Mr. Timothy Kitiva, led his teaching staff and members of BOG, to thank Green Africa Foundation, the Senator and the BMK Foundation for the special privilege they extended to the school. He promised to ensure that all trees planted in the school grew to maturity. Senator Mutula Kilonzo Jr. promised to assist the school in all its development projects. Every student in the school adopted a tree.
