Project Title of this new grant activity is Strengthening partnerships between NSAs, county governments and citizens to enhance county governance processes and service delivery - 2018, under the AHADI (Agile and Harmonized Assistance for Devolved Institutions) Program, which is financed by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). USAID/Kenya's goal is to support Kenya's vision and agenda for achieving the promise of devolution by supporting Kenya's vision and agenda for the country's devolution. Under this grant to Green Africa Foundation seeks to strengthen partnerships between NSAs, county governments and citizens to enhance county governance processes and service delivery in Marsabit County in line with AHADI's objective that is: Improved representation of citizens' interest and oversight over targeted county governments.

Green Africa Foundation aims at ensuring that the capacity for civic engagement has been improved, strengthening an enabling environment for devolution and enhancing leadership knowledge and skills of County Executive and Assembly.

Our main objective in the implementation of this project will be to To build the capacity of the NSAs and citizens through the Thematic Working Groups, around the sectors of Environment and Natural Resources and Livestock in Marsabit County on Public Expenditure Tracking.

Through the project, Green Africa will work with the county government of Marsabit (executive & legislature), citizens and NSAs towards implementing an information and customized Public expenditure tracking tool for Marsabit County. The project is expected to contribute towards deepening citizens and NSAs engagement on specific county sector issues by enhancing governance through increased citizen and Non-state actors/public participation into the government activities in specific sectors, and as a result, leading to transparency and accountability with better service delivery to the citizens.
